Papers will be accepted for Resident Research Awards. All Members-In-Training (including Fellows) are eligible to submit papers. People who graduated in 2009 will be eligible. The Member-in-Training must be the sole or senior author on the submitted manuscript. Preference will be given to original clinical or basic research over literature reviews.
HONORARIA WILL BE AWARDED First, Second and Third Place winners will receive cash awards (1st Place-$1,000; 2nd Place-$500; 3rd Place-$250) and plaques. There will also be three Honorable Mention winners, who will recieve plaques. ALL SUBMISSIONS WILL BE INVITED TO A POSTER SESSION AT THE AWARDS PRESENTATION EVENT IN THE SPRING AND MAY BE PUBLISHED IN THE DISTRICT BRANCH NEWSLETTER AND/OR ON THE WEBSITE. Winners will be announced at the Awards Presentation Ceremony IN THE SPRING (April date to be announced). Papers are to be organized as follows: Abstract not to exceed 250 words; Introduction; Methods Section; Results Section; Discussion, highlighting principle findings, reviewing pertinent literature, discussing limitations, and commenting on the significance of the work. Papers should not exceed 15 double-spaced pages, excluding tables, figures, and references. 4 COPIES OF THE MANUSCRIPT SHOULD BE SENT TO: Ms. Donna Gajda, Executive Director Dr. Serby would welcome questions and can be reached at:

Financial grants from the New York County District Branch to support education, research, membership-building, and public relations efforts must be approved by the Executive Council.
