Dear All,

In light of the recent earthquake, the New York District branch has been assessing various modalities of assisting the Haitian community in the city. It is our hope that this will trickle down to the people in Haiti as well.

We are taking the following steps:

1. Providing psychiatric assistance to all those in need at this crucial time. Please send your name, contact information and availability (phone/person) to our executive director, Donna Gajda.
2. Encouraging members to donate to The American Red Cross at HAITI 90999, and the Clintonfoundation.org
3. I have asked the Disaster Committee to take the lead in coordinating our DB efforts both within the city and in Haiti.
4. Finally, I would like to reassure our Haitian colleagues that the DB welcomes suggestions on how we can be of further assistance.
